Flathouse Norwich

Oh Hello!!! Would you have a look at that flat bread!! I just wanted to share with you guys a little review of a new restaurant which has opened up in Norwich. Me and the lovely George came across this gem last night and absolutely loved it.

As you can imagine from the name there are quite a few flat breads involved in the menu, but it is really cleverly done. The picture above was my dish of choice, I had the flat bread which they call white and gold. It was caramelised Onions coated in Cream Cheese, Red Leicester, Mrs Temples Walsingham and Mozzarella. Now for me anything with caramelised onions is a winner.... but with all that cheese as well it was just... words cannot describe just how good it was. You also have the option of having your flat bread wholemeal or gluten free. I had gluten free.. excellent choice.

They also do tapas... we had honey marinated chicken skewers and the pumpkin tagine again very tasty.

George had a crème brulee which came with a sweet flat bread.. I was just thinking oh how very clever.. its the small details which I love!!

The customer service was excellent, I am a bit of a stickler for good customer service and I wasn't disappointed they were lovely. So I am 100% recommending it.. check it out guys check it out!!

Winter Wonderland

Last week me and my lovely friend George went to Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park London. I really wanted to go last year but didn't get the chance, so this year I wanted to make sure that I went.. and I am so glad I did it was lovely!! So Christmasy... and the mulled wine.. well that just took it to another level!! DELIGHTFUL! If you guys get a chance it is definitely worth the trip, there is something there for everyone. I thought that I would share with you guys my outfit for the evening and a few little snaps to tempt you guys to venture in to the Christmasy goodness!!

The highlight of my outfit as always for me is the scarf!!! I love this mustard scarf, it's from Zara. Zara has a lot of rather fabulous scarves at the moment and could quite easily spend most of my wages on their current crop of neck attire!!

My coat is an old Topshop number a nice burgundy boyfriend style coat.

My skirt- which is actually a dress is from Primark. It has a nice lace top but as it was a little bit nippy I threw on my fluffy cropped jumper which is also from Primark.

My necklace is from Topshop- its currently in the sale £2.50 what a bargain!
In this close up you can see my gorgeous lip colour... I am in love with this combo at the moment. I am wearing an Urban Decay lip liner all over the lip in the colour Venom and a YSL lipgloss it's purple and sparkley and AMAZING the colour is number 47.

I hope you guys get a chance to go and enjoy the festivities!! Wrap up warm <3

Naughty November

Hey everyone sorry for the lack of blogging in the last week or so.. I have had some rather horrible news of late and haven't been able to get on here and update you all. But am here now to tell you all.. I can't stop buying things, (hence the post title). H&M must love me at the moment I am their most loyal customer!

I also have a bit of a boot addiction at the minute!  Check out the rather fabulous leather lace up boots I bought from Topshop recently. The most amazing thing about them... apart from the obvious treat to the eye that they are.. they are so comfy! I was actually able to wear them for a whole shift at work without them even making my feet ache I usually can't last more than about an hour in shoes with a heel.

Tartan- my other current obsession! See in the picture my new PJ bottoms, (jim jams) and slipper socks.. some Primark jems!!

As I love these few new additions to my ever growing wardrobe I thought I would do a little outfit post for you guys. My boots I have practically been living in will probably feature in the next few outfit posts... because they are beautiful!!

My necklace and fluffy jumper have both featured in a previous post.. Primark specials. I love this fluffy jumper so much it goes with everything. The khaki number poking out underneath my jumper is the shirt I bought from H&M, itis such a bargain as well at £14.99!

All Hallows' Eve...

As promised on my twitter (@thesequinjunkie) I thought I would do a little post on my Halloween make up! What do you think guys?! I wanted to go scary Halloween... so I went as a Vampire bat. Halloweeny... yet not too common. I love getting to do creative make up like this. It's like when I started sketching again I had forgotten how much I like being creative with make up. And amazingly my forehead remained white the whole night, I have quite a brown forehead and last Halloween the white face paint I used didn't quite hold the brown at bay!!

Here I am Vamp-ing it up! I went for typical Gothic materials; lace and leather, (well faux leather). I also customised my tights I layered up a pair of fishnets with a fairly low denier black pair of tights which I cut holes in so you could see the fishnet underneath.
The only thing I would change would be next time I think I will invest in some better fake blood as I ended up using my red lip-gloss because it looked more realistic- but much easier to smudge!
The products I used to achieve this look are as follows:

The amazing face paint that managed to mask the brown- Snazaroo face paint (in white) was the first stage.

The rest of the products are shown in the picture below.. Always start off with a primer. My primer of choice was Urban Decay Anti-ageing eye shadow primer potion. It is amazing, and I thought with such a dark heavy eye look I wanted it to last and not drop all over the place!

The black around my eyes was created using firstly my black Kohl Dust- by Topshop Make-up. I love this stuff but I don't think they make it any more, It is loose kohl powder so it is a quick and easy way to get a strong black pigment and it is easily blended.
To deepen the black I went over it with the shadow Creep from my Urban Decay Naked Palette. It is a black with a shimmer. I love my Naked Palette!

The red around my eye is from my Sleek Sunset palette. Sleek is a High Street drugstore brand which I really like, for colour they are fantastic eye shadows, lipsticks etc. they are great.

Eye-liner- my Urban Decay 24/7 kohl pencil in Perversion. It's excellent and waterproof what more could you ask for.

Mascara- Urban Decay Big Fatty Mascara (does what it says on the tin).

Lips- For my lips firstly I lined them with my Urban Decay 24/7 kohl liner in perversion. Then filled the middle in with my CHANEL lipstick, (swoon!!) in Rouge Coco 22. To blend it I simply smooshed, (very technical term) my lips together.

Also I added a bit of glitter to the black around my eye with a Barry M fine glitter dust. The name has rubbed off but it is a black and gold glitter. And the lines underneath my eyes where made with my Urban Decay 24/7 kohl pencil in Perversion.

All shadows were applied with my Real Techniques brushes. If you haven't tried these brushes yet you need to. They are made by a Make up Artist local to me, Samantha Chapman one half of the YouTube duo Pixiwoo.

Last but not least I also did a Vampy make up look for work which I love mainly because I have fallen in love with the Urban Decay Heavy Metal glitter liners!!!! I love sparkles!!

Go get creative guys!! <3

They have ARRIVED!!!!!!

OOoohh aren't they beautiful! As you can probably guess from the very large picture above I recently purchased some black patent Dr. Martens. Those of you who know me, know I love a good bargain and these were no exception I got them from eBay. There is always a slight worry when you get something from eBay as you can never guarantee they will look as good as the pictures but these I have been very lucky with. Plus there is that added excitement of the bidding at the very last moment and then realising you have won...
      So I
thought I would do a little outfit post for you. They are quite a chunky boot so it is not always easy to know what to wear so that your feet don't seem too large for your body.. like a Hobbit! "Ain't nobody got time for that!"

So I have teamed the delectable boots with this lime green/yellow slouchy knit jumper from H&M another bargain at £14.99. H&M always have such a good selection of knitwear in their Autumn/Winter collection, (my jumper in other colours).
Underneath the jumper you might be able to see I have a white shirt which is also from H&M. What I love about this shirt is the sliver detailing on the collar it adds that little something extra to what could be a fairly plain outfit. Accessories; my necklace and tartan scarf I have mentioned in a previous post they are both from Primark. Primark is definitely worth a look at the moment especially for accessories. My gold Casio watch I wear all the time, it goes with everything. Hope you like my ensemble and please excuse my shiny forehead I had just been on a brisk walk before this picture had been taken and the coat I was wearing was one layer too many...   :)

Gig time... Tom Odell

Last night I went to a gig at the UEA with my boyfriend and his flatmate, who now wish to be known as the beard brigade. Tom Odell was amazing, so good live. It was quite a mellow gig compared to what I am used to, there were a few people in the crowd getting annoyed at myself and the beard brigade singing along and generally being merry and enjoying the atmosphere. But hey you can't please everybody.. personally I thought we sounded pretty good :)
I liked his outfit choice, simple t-shirt open white shirt combo- went with the whole casual/mellow vibes of the night.
My highlight of the gig was when Tom did a cover of the Diet Coke advert song.. "I just want to make love to you." The supporting band was good.. I believe they were called Ruen Brothers, they had and Indie sound with a slight country twang. A lot of foot stomping songs. I love going to gigs it's always such a good night out. Another gig which I have been to recently was the 1975, that was a brilliant gig. I would definitely recommend going to see them if you haven't already- their entire set is a string of absolute bangers!! Go get your gig on peeps! #Gigheads

Sketching...

Hey everyone!! at the weekend I decided to start sketching again, it's been a long time since I have picked up a pencil and paper and wanted to see if I still had it in me. I absolutely loved it and didn't realise just how much I have missed it. the idea behind is that I am wanting to get my first tattoo done this year and I think it would mean just that little bit extra if I can design it or at least contribute to it. I have been looking at cherry blossom tattoos and most of them have very similar designs with the classic branch and flower combo and i wanted something slightly different. so here it is guys hope you like it! Think it has started the sketching bug in me... you guys should give it a go! Get your creative juices flowing.. and stay tuned for some more sketching from me :)

Winter is setting in!...

So it has been almost a year since I have been on here- very slack of me!! I am determined to start a fresh with my blog and share a little bit of me with you guys. Winter has well and truly started to set in and we are starting to get some of that fabulously, (slight hint of sarcasm) distinctive British weather. I thought I would share with you guys my first winter purchases of the year. I have recently had a massive wardrobe clear out- something which my lovely friends were very happy about, and that has created a little bit of space to fill with some fab new winter pieces.
I went to London last week and picked up a couple of the pieces in the picture to the right. Firstly my gorgeous forever 21 black and white jumper.. I LOVE it! it is so warm and comfy I think it may get worn to death this winter. I actually teamed it with the check shirt in the picture and some disco pant leggings. The check shirt is from ASOS, it is long enough on me to wear as a short dress with leggings. It may not work in that way for you taller lasses but I am only 5ft 5 so covers my bum nicely. Loving all the tartan coming in to the shops.. so i just had to get some scarves!! Anyone who knows me knows my love for a good scarf! The red scarf is from Primark and the cream is from Accessorize. The fluffy crop knit I think is key for this season they are everywhere, I don't mind that are everywhere I think they are really cute and may have to get a few different colours! This one is from Primark and was £10 absolute bargain!! I will be wearing mine with high waisted skirts tights and sexy ankle boots! Last but not least the selection of Primark necklaces. They have really upped their accessories game this season in fact I think I will be getting a lot from Primark this Autumn/Winter I have seen some really strong pieces in the press for what they have coming out! Here I am below wearing my forever 21 jumper with the check shirt and you might be able to just see one of the Primark necklaces poking out in between my hair! Back to work after a week off tomorrow so that is the last cherry beer I will be having for a while :(
