Shirting around...

Heyy you guysss! Well now.. the sun was out today.. so I had to get out there and show the world some nicer items from my wardrobe didn't I!! Yes, had a lovely day today, it was my day off and the beautiful sun decided to show it's face. Me and my friend George.. (she loves it when I mention her on here) had a little mooch around town today, went for a cheeky coffee at Frank's Bar. I've mentioned Frank's Bar on here before.. if you haven't been there yet you need to go! So I thought I would share with you my outfit of choice for today.. watch out guys.. I haven't got a coat on.. it was that warm!!

So I am wearing one of my favourite vintage shirts, it is an absolute beaut. I really like it because the colours are quite vibrant and it's a good abstract print. Underneath my shirt is the white long vest, it's not your typical vest material it's almost a jumper material, that is from Primark. My leggings are from Topshop. Absolutely love these, I got them quite a while ago but they always bring out something similar and they are so comfortable.

So here are some of the details from my outfit. My cream Converse, they go with most outfits and great for when you are having a mooching around kind of day. My Casio watch wear this everyday. Classic gold swirl earrings fairly new purchase from Topshop. My necklace also from Topshop, quite an old school piece though so no longer in the shops sorry guys! Last but not least my mustard Zara scarf. I know you must think I always wear this, but I do wear others it just so happens I always forget to do an outfit post whilst wearing another scarf....

One last thing, I just wanted to share with you this cherry blossom tree I walk past everyday.. no real relevance but I think it's beautiful... Enjoy <3

Housey House House

Hey everyone.... busy once again.. I moved in to my new house!! Exciting times. I am starting to feel like it's all coming together now.. lots more homely. I thought I would share a few snaps with you to show you how it's getting along. I am intending to do lots of DIY crafty bits for the house, (once I have money again.. moving house is a bit pricey! Haha). Candles I love candles.. I really want to make some teacup candles. I shall keep you guys updated on my DIY gems.

Here are a few little details.. top left is my duvet cover. I love it my friend George gave it to me as a house warming present isn't she a lovely little cherub! It's from Primark, I think their home section is really good I want to go to a large store and having a massive Home accessories spending spree.

Top right is my little fireplace in my room. I absolutely love fireplaces I think they add so much character to a room. The only thing that annoys me is that it isn't central on the wall, so I think I will have to be careful if I hang anything on the wall over it.

Bottom left is my very sexy chest of drawers.. By far my favourite item of furniture I have bought. I got it from a charity shop, apart from it being really good value it's a stunning piece of vintage furniture. I was initially thinking about varnishing it or staining it but actually, now it's in my room I think it works really well.

Bottom right, I thought I would just show you guys how I have decided to store my scarves. as you can see I have a fair few and I have never really had a good way to hang them. I saw one of these over the door hangers which I think is meant to be used for coats etc. and thought that would be perfect to put my scarves on. I can actually see what I have got now as well which is amazing.

This is my en-suite.. Isn't it a beaut! I bought a new mirror at the weekend from The Range. I think its stunning, it wouldn't fit in my room so I put it in my bathroom. Obviously there were some angling issues.. don't want it pointing towards you whilst you are on the loo!! But I think it works really well in there and there is always good lighting.

One last pic... Outfit posts are my priority.. I had to have a massive clear out when I moved, (something which my friends are always happy about) and as you can see there are still quite a few items left in my wardrobe. So worry not followers.. many more outfit posts to come <3

NYC and Vegas baby....

Hey everyone.. how are we all? So I have just come back from an amazing trip to celebrate one of my best friend's birthday.. (her 30th *cough cough*). It was amazing, if any of you get the chance to go to New York do it- without hesitation.. perhaps a bit later on in the year though as it was a little bit nippy at -2 degrees. Vegas was... well it was Vegas. Pretty much does what it says on the tin it was crazy. I feel about ten stone heavier and have come back craving fruit and vegetables!! I thought I would share a few snaps and a couple of outfits with you guys... be warned you will want to go there after seeing these!

I told you.. you want to go now don't you !! :-)  My favourite item from my suitcase that I packed were my yellow wedge sandals.. not so good for New York but I loved them in Vegas. They are from Topshop, not current stock sorry guys but these wedges they bring out a variation of them every year. So comfortable and they don't show too much toe! I have long toes so I don't like a large amount of toe showing. You long toed beauties out there will know where I am coming from with this! My other wardrobe essential is my tasselled studded bag. I love this bag, I got it from a shop called Ark, not really sure if the shop was a casualty of the recession but there isn't one in my town any more. This bag goes with everything and is the perfect size. It will be a sad day when I have worn it out.

My skirt from the first outfit picture, the one with my bestie in tow, is from Primark. Primark have some stunning summer pieces and this one was £8. What I like about Primark is you can get some pieces which look much more expensive than they actually are. In the lower picture the little pink number I am wearing is actually a pair of shorts. I love a bold colour and this cerise pink I think is stunning. These shorts are also from Topshop.

Back to reality now though, and back on with the jeans and jumpers. Hopefully I can crack out my cerise shorts again sometime soon though... wishful thinking...

Until next time.. much love <3

Tattoo update..

Hey Everyone.. so a while a go I blogged about one of my sketches and how I intended to turn it in to a tattoo. Well I finally bit the bullet and got it done.. and couldn't be happier I love it.. However now I need to find new items of clothing to show it off... what a shame :)

So here is is all healed.. from sketch to tattoo. I love it so pleased! The tattooist that did it for me is Thomas Bates, amazing job. He works in London and Norwich. If you like his style give him a little email: tombatesart@gmail.com

Ooh the sun is out!!

Hey everybody!! Well thank goodness the sun has decided to make an appearance. It is at this point when I realise that I have a distinct lack of summer clothing in my ever expanding wardrobe... any excuse to go shopping!! Also I find when the weather is dull.. my colour choices mirror that and I always fall in to the pattern of wearing.. black black black. So I thought it is time to reintroduce colour in to the old OOTD. Here is the outfit I wore out at the weekend...

This outfit was an absolute bargain... all current stock. My top is from H&M £14.99.. I think this top will be really versatile, think will look really cute with any form of denim.. jeans/shorts/skirt. I will definitely be taking it on holiday with me, which is 5 days away!!!!! The skirt is from Primark... £3. I just loved the teal colour. My boots I absolutely love. They are from H&M and were £29.99. They are so comfy and add that bit of height for little shorties like me without crippling your feet! I should probably clean them though...

Come on guys... get your butts out to get some spring pieces <3

Flowers in Feb...

Hey Guys.... hope all is well in the world of web. I have been slacking again.. this time not due to low funds.. but due to my forever breaking car... so kind of low funds.. also I now frequent the gym a fair bit so I am wearing a lot of lounge wear... nobody wants to see that!! I thought I would share with you a bit of floral goodness. This floral skater dress is a vintage Topshop number. I like to get this one out every now and again because it is so comfy and flattering. Also I find it is quite a versatile dress and can be worn throughout the seasons. I have worn it here with a vintage Grandad cardigan, but I have worn it in the summer with just a necklace and some sandals.

Now my scarf... I often get asked where this one is from... perhaps I also need a new scarf.. but it is from Zara. They have a mighty fine scarf selection might I add and I could quite easily spend most of my wages on them. Unfortunately they no longer have the mustard one.. but they have some new colours and the blue I think is gorgeous so I have attached a little link... so have a little peek (blue scarf beauty).

Have a lovely weekend... I promise to go to the gym less so I can wear more normal clothes to show you :-)

Finally February!!

Hello everyone!! Don't know about you but I am so glad January is over... it is not my favourite month of the year.. Long and Poor!! So I was a hermit all January and lived in my pyjamas.. as you do. So now February has arrived and I have decided to venture out in real clothes. I thought I would share with you my outfit from a lovely girly evening at a well known steakhouse.. Middletons.. other steakhouses are available.

I am absolutely in love with this dress. It's from Zara, it's really comfortable and flattering. I am not one for a tight fitting dress which is one of the reasons I love this dress as it hides a multitude of sins.. food babies included. Really good price point too I think it was £24.99. A classic black fluffy cardi to go with it from New Look.

Detailing; I love my boots they are from Office. They have a really small heel (every little helps when your legs are a bit shorter than you wish them to be), and are really comfortable. Thought I would give you a little close up of my rings.. while I may sometimes forget to put a necklace or earrings on I always remember to put this on.. one Silver and Amber and the other Silver and Labradorite both are from Nova Silver.

Oooh and coming soon to a computer screen near you... my new February purchases.....

Best of 2013...

I wanted to put this post up yesterday but I fell asleep instead!! The reason being is that I am thinking about starting a new feature called Make up Monday to get a bit of regularity in to my blog... let me know what you guys think.

So this Make up Monday, (now Make up Tuesday) I thought I would share with you a few of my favourite Make up buys of 2013. Ok so from the top... a few of my favourite nail colours.. Two from Barry M. A black sparkly and a rose gold glitter. I am a bit of a sucker when it comes to sparkle and glitter and my lovely friends actually got these two for me for Christmas so they obviously know me very well. I like a Barry M nail polish you can't really go wrong they are good value and I find they don't chip that easily. The metallic blue is actually a H&M number. I have been pleasantly surprised by H&M's nail range, the colour range and the quality is really good for the price I think they are about £2.99. I am less inclined to try the rest of their make up range but the nail polishes are definitely well worth it guys give it a try. The last is from the Topshop Make up range. The colour is Daredevil.. it is my favourite of  2013. The Topshop nail polishes are good but they do need a top coat as they do chip quite easily.

The picture top right is a couple of pieces from the Topshop Make up winter collection. One of their Eye Gleam colours and two Gloss Ink colours. Firstly I get a bit excited about Topshop Make up, I worked for Topshop when they first launched their Make up range so I went to London to learn all about it and not many people may know but it is manufactured in the same place as MAC Make up. I think you can see aspects of MAC in the range through the design and the colour palette range. The new Eye Gleam range I love, it is a cream shadow. The particular one I have got is called Winterfrost, it is a metallic silver colour. I love it it blends in really well with other shadows and it can also be used as a base. Now the Gloss Inks are really interesting they are a cross between a lip stain and a gloss. So even when the gloss rubs off a little you still have the colour underneath. Love love love!

The middle picture is of some Urban Decay pieces... a lip liner and of course the new Naked 3 palette. Need I say more about the Naked 3 palette I am sure you have seen many a review on it. It is I think my favourite out of the 3. A lot of people are put of by how pink it is but I have found that the colours aren't as pink as you might think. I have tried it on quite a few different complexions and hair colours and have managed to find something to suit all.... but I just love it so maybe I am biased. The Urban lip liners I love. They came out earlier last year with their revolution lipsticks- which are also very good. My favourite is the Venom lip liner. I use it as an actual lip colour rather than a liner, so I fill the whole lip in with it and wear it as a matt lip colour.

The bottom two pictures are of a few of my favourite lip colours. A Rimmel one in the Kate Moss range and a YSL lipstick and lipgloss. I wanted to show you this one from the Rimmel Kate Moss range because she brought out a matt lip range and if you don't want to spend that bit extra it is a good alternative to the luxury brands matt lip colours. The Rimmel version isn't as long lasting but nevertheless it is good and the colour pigment is impressive. The colour I have got is the 107. Now Yves Saint Laurent do the most fabulous lipsticks and the one I have here is from the Rouge pur Couture The Mats range. These lipsticks are so long lasting, I like all of them the one in the picture is 206... but I also love the 202 and the 204.... Amazing!

In fact here I am wearing 202 and 204 in this rather pouty-lishious picture taken on the way to my staff Christmas do. Fear not we had stopped to take this picture no reckless driving involved!!

Get experimenting with make-up guys.. try something new!

Frank's Bar

Ok, so I think I may be a little bit late on the bandwagon.. but I love Frank's Bar. I hadn't been there until a few weeks ago. Me and my friend were looking for somewhere to have brunch one Sunday and had always walked past Frank's Bar and thought how quirky it looks.. It most definitely did not disappoint!

Exposed beams, vintage wallpaper, antique furniture.. it was really cosy. All the china cups and plates looked vintage, as though they had been sourced from a charity shop or an auction.
The coffee was amazing! I have to admit I have turned in to a bit of a coffee fiend and the thing is I used to think coffee was disgusting and now I don't know if I could live without it!

The food was beautiful. I had a vegetarian brunch, not that I am a vegetarian but I do really like the vegetarian options on menus and do tend to always pick them. I had scrambled eggs, (anyone who knows me knows my love for eggs.. it has to be scrambled!) hash browns, spicy beans, sautéed potatoes mushrooms and halloumi cheese. It was delightful.. the eggs were beautiful. They looked a bit of a weird almost orangey colour but when I started eating them I didn't care they were an odd colour they were cooked perfectly.

Corr yeah look at that!! If you guys get a chance to go there.. do it!! so worth it. I am looking forward to going back for cocktails!!

Happy New Year!!!!

Hey Everyone...... Happy belated Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!!! Hope you all had a rather fabulous time! I went to London for New Years and it was amazing.. as you can see from the firework pics above. Everyone was in such a good mood... well apart from those in the queue for the portaloo.. which is fairly understandable. I thought I would share with you guys a couple of outfits from the festive period.

This was my outfit for New Years.. sorry for the awful selfie picture but didn't get a chance to take a proper photo before the festivities began. I needed an outfit which would last me all day as I was meeting my friends for some sightseeing before the main event.. which despite how often I go to London I never actually get the chance to do.

The burgundy fluffy cropped jumper is from River Island and so is the faux leather skirt. The leather skirt is a bargain, (well I thought it was quite reasonable) £25 in stores now.
The necklace is from Topshop... shiney leggings from Ebay and boots are from Office!! Only problem with a fitted leather skirt it's not very good at disguising an alcohol bloat.

The next outfit was one from just before Christmas. The star piece of the outfit is the jacket.. oh I do love a sequinned jacket and Christmas is such a good time to whip one out!!

Yep that's right I went a bit crazy on the texture with this one... but I love it. This jacket has got to be my favourite purchase of 2013. It's from H&M can you believe it?! I was very impressed with it I think it looks vintage. My little black cropped fluffy jumper is the one you have seen before from Primark. Maybe I should stop using it in my outfit posts but it just goes with everything. Little faux leather shorts, the most scary purchase of 2013 I was terrified of wearing these bad boys. They were also a bargain, £14.99. My faux fur stole came with a coat I had from Topshop and my boots are my heeled ones from Topshop.

I intend to wear this jacket as much as possible... velvet and sequins it's a winner!!

I have a few more posts for you guys to come in the next week or so.. to get you through the sadness of being back at work! :-(

Until then Happy New Year.. may this one be better than the last <3
